Nicole Powell is a former high school and middle school teacher with a B.A. in English and German and an M.A. in Early American Literature. Over the course of her teaching tenure, she taught regular and advanced placement English in grades 7-12 and German. She also worked as an adjunct English professor at both Grand Rapids and Lansing Community Colleges.
Powell taught theatre at both the middle and high school level and directed high school drama club performances in Saranac Community Schools and Pewamo-Westphalia Public Schools in Michigan, but her primary interest in theatre revolves around dramatic literature, particularly literary analyses of theatrical works. She and her husband Randy co-authored and directed The U.S.S. Platonic, which has been performed twice. She also taught workshops in script analysis and script writing at Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp in Twin Lake, MI.
